It’s been almost 5 months to the day since the fire and they’ve just finished removing the damage; which, as you can see, is almost everything but the exterior walls.  We wonder why they just didn’t raze the whole thing and start again. Our engineer thought it’d probably be quicker and cheaper but insurance companies move in mysterious ways…

Anyway, I’m off to Europe again on Tuesday. This time to Scotland and London with mom in tow; and,  if our plans go according to plan and the infamous weather cooperates, hopefully I’ll have some good photos to share!
