Day 24: At Sea

A day off! That’s what a day at sea feels like, no need to set an alarm or be somewhere at a certain time. Shore days I’m awake before 6am as I must check our progress into port and/or line up to get a tender ticket if we’re anchoring. Today I had the luxury of lying abed till 7:30am (technically 6:30am as clocks went back again last night) which was a boon to my cold. As it’s hard to keep finding interesting photos on sea days the picture above is from an early start a few days ago.

My cold is finally easing, thank goodness. Half the ship is coughing so I haven’t been alone in my illness but it has impacted my vacation a little. I have canceled my scuba diving trip scheduled for tomorrow, instead I found another land+beach tour. Nothing like scouring the internet at 2am for an excursion! With such slow access to the internet that’s the best time to surf.

‘Twas another good sea day: brekkie, morning walk, lecture on surviving as a castaway on a deserted island, morning trivia with Aspen & Chad, lunch, afternoon trivia, reading, dinner, Solo meetup, and evening show. Phew!
