We’re docked in Safaga, Egypt , the port for exploring the ancient city of Luxor and the Valley of the Kings. It’s a 4-hour bus ride each way and that was turn-off enough for me. Fortunately I’d been there before so my backup plan for today was to go quad biking in the desert but I woke up with 1/2 a sore throat this morning – whether from yesterday’s scuba diving or from the cough plaguing fellow passengers, I’m not sure but I decided not to go and just take it easy onboard.

Instead, I wandered the empty ship, did some hand laundry, and fought to understand what happened with my blog. I’ve filled up the available space and I can’t find out how to add more. And, the WiFi connection onboard today is poor so that’s frustrating too. * ah, fixed! Just had to upgrade from the free plan….
Obviously on Sea Days I don’t have much to take photos of so I’ll post some various ship pics each day:

I had lunch with Stan and York; visited with Karen who had to spend the day on the computer as she works remotely; and chatted with various fellow cruisers; and went to bed early with my book. A nice, relaxing day.
