It dawned to be an extremely windy morning. I attempted to walk to my 6:15a coffee at the buffet along the upper deck but not only was the wind a deterrent the security guard was too! “Madame, no one is allowed on the outside decks while in this area”. He did allow me to take one quick sunrise shot before shooting me inside.

I was able to score a few laps around the pool before the wind and the pool staff setting up the deck loungers served to shoo me inside again. I breakfasted, then roamed the interior and read a bit until Alison’s lecture at 10am. This one was very well attended as it covered the Seychelles. She’s obviously been there before as she was able to give us turn by turn walking directions to town. I’ve a rental car booked and a general plan to tour the island. If our internet holds up the next 4 days I’ll do more in-depth research.

By 11am the decks were open again and people were sprawled out on their loungers soaking up the sun. For lunch there were various pasta stations set up on the pool deck; trying to keep the long sea days interesting, I guess.

I stuck to lunch in the buffet as usual. The food can be quite hit-or-miss onboard so I find that with the large selection at the buffet at least one thing should taste good. Today the marinated grilled veggies and salmon salad were a hit.
I met Mary, one of my dinner companions, for afternoon cards. We were to meet 2 other friends of hers but they were no shows so the two of spent a pleasant hour and a half at gin rummy.
Dinner had a Mediterranean theme. That was also our Suggested Evening Dress. How does one dress Mediterranean? I ended up in white jeans and an aqua-green top. What the waiters were doing and singing, I don’t know….

I always forget to take pics of the food, this is one bite into Ossobucco. It wasn’t bad.
