Our day started with a ferry ride from the edge of Poole over to Studland Point and the official end of the SWCP!

Yes, this is where most people finish their walk but I had to re-jig my schedule due to a closure of the path that crosses a military range on the date I needed in June so I’m walking the last week first, then heading up to the “Start” to well, start….

Our first 3 miles were on the beach of Shell Bay and it was turning out to be a glorious day: bright sun, cool breeze, and easy walking. We had to detour inland at the end and walked a combo of country lanes and open headland all the way to Swanage. A great 1st day!
