Transfer Day today so basically a day of waiting until it was time to head to the airport.
I took an early morning walk at 7am and the cool mist was already lifting. I walked around the peninsula that is this end of the Old Town until I saw stairs that led up to the temple on Mt Phousi. I just walked up & over for some exercise, then strolled through the morning market on my way back to my hotel for breakfast.

Hung out in my room for the morning doing some visa finding/travel planning before it was time to say a last goodbye to Sharon & Dean (they leave @ 11am, I don’t go until 3pm). Then walked, lunched (a local place, busy with foreigners, $2.50 for a ginger chicken dish), meandered, and chilled until my driver appeared.
The flight to Hanoi was on a small prop plane which meant exiting out onto the tarmac upon landing. The air was so thick with pollution, it felt like I was inside a chimney. Fingers crossed it’ll improve overnight or I’ll be wearing my face mask while sightseeing. It was dark already when I landed and I didn’t arrive at the hotel until 7:45pm so Hanoi will be a surprise tomorrow!
