Another Rest Day. I breakfasted with lots of fellow pilgrims at the first open bar in A Fondagrada which conveniently happened to be right at the bus stop. I lingered over my coffee until the 10am bus to Lugo arrived. The trip took about 90 minutes and I saw pilgrims and Camino signs almost the whole way. It was cold and misty until I arrived in Lugo, where it was cold and sunny. It should be warm the next couple of days then rain for the next week! Perhaps October isn’t the best time to walk?
The Old Town of Lugo is completely encircled by old Roman walls, which I hope I’m able to explore a little tomorrow. I’ve a mediocre hotel (spotless but looks like a dorm room) just outside the gate where the Camino enters the walls and a fantabulous Froiz mega-supermarket around the corner; so a perfect location for a resting peregrina!
